For some, it has been a challenging year but for the property market it was a year of record-breaking sales. Let’s take a look at the top 10 most expensive property sales of 2022.

 

10. 12 Noosa Parade, Noosa Heads, Queensland ($27 million)

This stunning 4-bedroom Noosa home located on the canal boasts a wrap-around infinity pool and amazing views. This property was last sold in 2015 for $5.9 million. That’s a 358% increase in just 7 years.

 

 

9. 167 Pacific Road, Palm Beach, NSW ($27.5 million)

Number nine on the list is locate din New South Wales with breath-taking views of Palm Beach. The property has six bedrooms, five bathrooms, and parking for four cars. The home was last purchased in 2018 for $15 million and has resold for $27.5 million, equalling a price increase of 83%.

 

 

8. 24 Arakoon Crescent, Sunshine Beach, Queensland ($28.5 million)

This property has bee praised as an architectural masterpiece. Bought back in late 2021 for $13 million and resold in early 2022 for $28.5 million, over doubling the original purchase price in less than 6 months.

 

 

7. 11 Collins Avenue, Rose Bay, NSW ($29 million)

Direct access to the beach in Sydney? Tick! This property hit the market for the first time 35 years. With spectacular views of the harbour was the seventh highest selling house in the country for 2022.

 

 

6. 31 Stanley Avenue, Mosman, NSW ($33 million)

Located in Mosman, this property made the list at number 6 for the most expensive properties sold in 2022. This 750m2 mansion features six bedrooms, pool and spa. The home last sold for $12.3 million in 2015 and resold in March 2022 with a 168% price uplift at $33 million.

 

5. 85 Wallaroy Road, Woollahra, NSW ($35 million)

The owners of this property held on tight since 2003 purchasing the property for $6.83 million. During their ownership the house went through major renovations. Fast forward to 2022 when they sold the proeprty for $35 million. That’s an impressive price uplift of 413%.

 

 

4. 802 Orrong Road, Toorak, Victoria ($38.5 million)

This impressive 5-bedroom home with a tennis court and pool sold for $38.5 million in 2022. The property was only sold 4 years prior for 12.2 million.

 

3. 20 Wolseley Road, Point Piper, NSW ($45 million)

This property boasts five bedrooms, six bathrooms and spectacular views of the Sydney Harbour. This mansion includes rare features such as a private beach and boathouse on the Harbour.

 

 

2. 3 Lindsay Avenue, Darling Point, NSW ($60 million)

Coming in second place is this massive home in Darling Point. This property is situated directly on Sydney Harbour, and also features room for the super yacht out the front. Every room also has views of Rose Bay. The property was last sold back in 2013 for $32 million.

 

 

1.  38A Wentworth Road, Vaucluse, NSW ($62.75 million)

This Vaucluse mansion comes in at number 1, selling at the beginning of 2022 for just shy of $63 million. The property features 7-bedrooms, 10-bathrooms and an underground garage that can house 20 cars. The sale came in very close to being the most expensive property ever sold in Sydney but fell short by $8 million.
